I didn't realise David Baldacci had a new book out! Being one of my favourite authors - I just had to get a copy, and it didn't disappoint me.
It picks up after Zero Day, the first book for the John Puller character - so presumably this will become a series? If you haven't read the first one, not to worry this stands alone OK, and you can pick up whatever you need to know. It's an action filled book from beginning to end - just don't think about it too much.
After the first one, I was concerned about comparisons with the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child.... an MP, over 6 foot tall and athletic, a good investigator, diligent, a strong sense of justice... it's a very similar formula. So a little disappointing David Baldacci has painted a main character so similarly to a well known existing one. Having said that, I'm a fan of both authors, and would definitely pick up the next one in the series.
I loved it, and it would be an awesome holiday book!
